Alejandra Ramos

Alejandra Ramos is a multi-passionate writer, artist, speaker, and television host based in New York City.

Known for her vibrant, playful culinary point of view and passion for style both in and out of the kitchen, Alejandra Ramos’s ability to inspire in a way that is witty and approachable has made her a favorite with television audiences nationwide. A native New Yorker of Puerto Rican descent, her Latina heritage proudly informs her work, providing a fresh and authentic perspective across platforms.

Alejandra’s joyful approach to food can be seen regularly on NBC’s TODAY Show, where she serves as a Contributor, and as the Host of the national PBS TV series, The Great American Recipe, an uplifting and educational program celebrating immigrant and cultural influences on modern American cuisine.

In addition to TODAY Show, Alejandra hosts original series and holiday specials for NBC’s streaming network, Peacock, and is a regular writer for TODAY’s digital site, contributing recipes and essays on a variety of food, art, and culture topics. Previously, Alejandra was a host on Food Network Kitchen, a contributor on the Cooking Channel food history program Food: Fact or Fiction, and co-host of Today’s Deals Live, on Amazon.

Her rapport with audiences has made her a go-to conference speaker and panel moderator, and a sought-after spokesperson for international food, fashion, and lifestyle brands like Nespresso, Pinterest, Remy Martin, Target, Maggy London, Barilla, and Coca-Cola.

Alejandra is a believer in using her platform and resources as a Latina woman in a competitive media industry to help others also rise. Since 2020, her regular product segments on TODAY have helped shine a light on 100+ incredible BIPOC, Latinx, and women-owned small businesses from around the country. In recognition of her work, Alejandra was called a “Rising Latina Food Star” by NBC News, “One to Watch” by Latina Magazine, and named one of HOLA! USA’s Top 100 Latina Powerhouses in 2021.

Before pivoting to a career on television, Alejandra worked in various parts of the food and media industry, most notably as International Editions Editor at Hearst Magazines International, and as the contributing food editor for Cosmo for Latinas magazine. A lifelong learner, Alejandra is currently completing a degree in Poetry and Art History at Columbia University in the City of New York.

Alejandra lives in Harlem with her husband, Eugene, and their rescue dog, Jojo.
